The International Court of Justice (ICJ) serves as the principal judicial organ of the United Nations and one of its most powerful. Upholding the rule of international law on the world stage through binding judgements. It addresses critical disputes between nations, from territorial conflicts to violations of international treaties and human rights law. Participants, representing judges or nation states, will engage in interpreting and applying international law through legal argumentation, rigorous deliberation, and landmark judicial decision-making. (Historical cases will also be considered and are encouraged.)

Grand European Crisis Council

The Grand European Crisis Council is a fictitious crisis committee established during the greatest crises that Europe has ever faced. Taking place at any point between the beginning of the 1600s all the way up to the first shots of World War 1, encompassing everything from the Ottoman siege of Vienna to the July Crisis of 1914. It summons the key diplomats, foreign ministers or leaders of all major and minor nations in order to find a way through the storm with which they are faced. The delegates will be able to not only push the direction of the committee, but also their own nations, recommending actions as diverse as mobilisation or the acceptance of a new alliance.
